Hospice of Chippewa County/Chippewa County Health Department

Hospice of Chippewa County/Chippewa County Health Department is certified by Medicare, accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program, and is licensed by the State of Michigan. Hospice care is available to any person whose life expectancy is measured in terms of months. It addresses the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of the patient and their families. Hospice is a team effort to enhance the quality of life for dying patients and their families as they plan and live their last days together. It’s an encouragement for people to live their lives to the fullest, with dignity and peace, until they die. Community volunteers are the heart of hospice and supplement the professional and paraprofessional services. Bereavement services continue for family members during their recovery from the loss of their loved ones.
