    RE: No Body Contact Advisory LIFTED for Sherman Park Beach


    THE NO BODY CONTACT ADVISORY HAS BEEN LIFTED FOR SHERMAN PARK BEACH ON THE ST. MARYS RIVER.
    The beach is now re-opened for swimming.
    Bacteria levels, specifically E. coli, are currently at safe levels for coming into contact with the water for areas at

    Monitoring efforts continue by the Chippewa County Health Department’s Environmental Health staff.

    THE NO BODY CONTACT ADVISORY HAS BEEN LIFTED FOR 4 MILE BEACH AND SUGAR ISLAND TOWNSHIP PARK BEACH ON THE ST. MARYS RIVER. Those beaches are now re-opened for swimming.
