QPR is suitable for anyone 16 or older who wants to be able to recognize the signs of a mental health crisis and refer clients, patients, students, friends, family memberw, neighbors, co-workers... anyone who may to get the assistance they need. QPR trainign only takes 1 hour and is geared towards professional and community members alike.

ASIST - Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. ASIST training is a two day course that teaches individuals to provide suicide first aid. The ASIST model teaches effective intervention skills while helping to build suicide prevention networks in the community. ASIST expands on the concepts covered in QPR and provides a more intensive training. Both ASIST and QPR are rooted in the principle that everyone can make a difference in preventing suicide. The more people in the community who have suicide intervention training, the more likely it is they will be able to identify someone at risk and intervene to keep them safe.
